Russell Brand bashes Bush and Jonas Brothers Virginity at VMA’s

MTV should be ashamed of letting Russell Brand host the VMA‘s. Brand opens the show by pleading with the audience to vote for Barack Obama. The celebrity filled venue cheers. The British host explains that the world is hoping we elect Obama.

Brand then continues to be “fair and balanced” makes crude jokes about Sarah Palin and her pregnant daughter.

Not stopping there, Brand then goes on to belittle the Jonas Brothers virginity commitment rings.

MTV and their executives have obviously rolled out this no-name, no-talent, hack to push their liberal agenda. What better way to reach the young voting demographic? Thankfully, the VMA’s are so bad I doubt there are many people watching.

The battle continues for traditional family values American values.

I completely agree. Does MTV think no one with any intelligence is left? Do they think we won’t catch on that they pulled out a nobody loser to tell the uneducated public what to do?

I posted a blog about this, and I got reamed by some left wing idiots. Read Here

I agree. It was disrespectful to say those things about the Jonas Brothers. I think those boys are very admirable for sticking to their beliefs even when society doesn’t. And I do appreciate Jordan Sparks saying something about it.

I don’t think Russell Brand was a good host. He took up too much time with his little comments.

I COMPLETELY AGREE. Brand was horrible to Republicans and Jonas fans alike.

When i heard his opening speach where he bashes a country he is lucky to visit i threw up. I actually threw up. I am not a political person or any type of activist. He should be kicked out of our country. You are right. MTV should apologize to the American people. I will no longer watch mtv.

I completely agree with this article. It was embarrassing as a young adult of the MTV generation. It saddens me that this is what teenagers and pre-teens are exposed to. I only wish that MTV was not part of my regular cable package. Otherwise, I would cancel my subscription.

Relax. Russell Brand is a comedian…pure and simple. Look a Bush’s approval rating. He is simply making light and connecting to an obvious majority.

I am so upset MTV let this ignorant jerk host the VMA’s. He went way too low when he bashed the Jonas Brothers for their purity. Completely unacceptable.

Russell simply spoke the truth. Bush is a bumbling fool. If you teach your kids “abstinence only” they are, just like Bristol Palin, likely to end up pregnant. Virginity pledges/purity rings are a ridiculous fundy xian fad.

Comment to James who responded today: How old are you? What an obnoxious response to Bristol Palin…accountability is an awesome asset…obviously criticisim of others if YOUR defense for your OWN inadequacies. Sounds like you are the “bumbling fool”..whatever that means…..sounds like you need to work on your grammar, fool!!

i just can’t watch these award shows anymore because all they are is a bunch of celebrities that are trying to get their liberal bs across to the young and vulnerable minds of America
celebrities, keep your oppinions to your self and do what you’re paid to. ENTERTAIN!! but not by expressing your own left-wing views!!
